Miss AUBG rocks Juliany

Ten contestants participated in the first Miss AUBG contest organized by the AUBG Beauty Pageant Club on Monday at Club Juliani. AUBG rock band Slow and the AUBG Cheerleaders also performed at at the event.

Contestants from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Russia were presented in front of the jury and the audience in swimsuits, cocktail dresses, wedding dresses, casual wear, and dance outfits.

The jury and the audience voted throughout the show. The organizer of the event, Viktoriya Muresh announced the winners, which are:

Face of Wedding salon Velitza - Diana Khismatullina;

Miss Audience - Emiliya Koteva;

Miss Juliani - Veronika Bobrova;

Face of beauty salon G&D - Evelina Stoeva;

Miss AUBG 3rd place - Ramona Saicane;

Miss AUBG 2nd - Emiliya Koteva and

Miss AUBG - Kate Snesareva.

After modeling the various dresses, the contestants answered questions. Answering to the question which one is more useful in life being beautiful or smart, Anastasia Alexeeva said that beauty is the most unstable currency to invest in.

"I liked it, it was awesome, I might participate next year too," Shirin Hagverdibayova, one of the contestants, said.

"I am very satisfied with the contest. I think girls need to participate in contests like these - they are fun. I am happy I took the third place - it was a surprise," the second runner-up Ramona Saicane, an exchange student from Latvia, said.

Club Juliani was full of people during the event,and the seats were reserved beforehand. "I like the atmosphere, but there is so little space," student Natia Nishnianidze, said.
