The construction of Skaptopara 3's first block is two weeks ahead of schedule, Vice President (VP) for Finance and Administration Alexander Alexandrov said. It will be impossible to open the new residence hall before the beginning of the Spring 2010 semester, the scheduled date.

Students continued to complain about the new clause for pre-registration according to which students with more than 45 credit hours completed in a certain major cannot pre-register for any courses in that major. (Updated March 23, 2009) Several AUBG alumni complained about the culinary presentation of Transnistria, an unrecognized self-proclaimed state within the Republic of Moldova, during the International Taste Fest on February 21. AUBG Administration said student Maria Droganova, who led the Transnistrian cooking team, applied for funding as part of the Russian delegation.

Unfair state exams for BUS

The Bulgarian state exam for graduating AUBGers studying Business Administration (BUS) may be unfair to many students this academic year, said SG senator Filip Taseski. Taseski added Chair of the BUS department Julio Pontes said he would make the exam comprehensive and would include questions from courses like Operations Management and other that not all students take. Senior BUS majors from SG (President Vasile Valcov, Chair Daniyar Abenov, Senator Giorgi Mariamidze, and Taseski) will talk to Pontes about the issue.

Skaptopara Residence Halls will get two 42-inch (106 cm) plasma television sets, which should be installed in Skaptopara main lobbies by the end of the spring break. The Student Government (SG) decided on the purchase on its February 25 meeting.
