The More Honors (MH) Academy announced this year’s MH Scholarship winners during their 13th annual awards ceremony in the Skaptopara Sports Hall on April 16 in front of more than a thousand students and faculty members. Three winning teams were awarded a total of 3,000 leva.

This year the task was to prepare a short video clip on any topic, showing creativity and clear understanding of the values of More Honors.

The senior gift of the Class 2010 will consist of three seven meter tall flagpoles with flags of Bulgaria, the United States, and the European Union, which will cost 790 leva each.

AUBG claims to be a diversified university. For some reason the small town of Blagoevgrad attracts people of all nations. Last semester a Colombian student, Alexander Acosta Osorio, joined the AUBG community. Osorio has transferred from LaGuardia Community College, New York.

AUBG will host a session of the Forum for European Journalism Students (FEJS) Conference between February 12 and 14.
“The event begins on Friday, February 12, with a presentation of FEJS in the New Academic Building (NAB) Auditorium,” Svetla Miteva, AUBG senior and the main organizer of the event, said. The presentation will be held by the members of the FEJS executive board, secretariat, and some of the current FEJS members. “The goal of the presentation is to create publicity about the organization and get many AUBG students involved.
