From this year forward, alumni of the American University in Bulgaria will have access to the Alumni Lifetime Email Service. The service is hosted by Google and more than 290 graduating seniors already have access to the service.

This year's conference on Microsoft technologies, DevReach, took place on October 12 and 13 in Arena Cinema in Sofia. Telerik, one of the sponsors and organizers of the event, issued free passes for 20 AUBG students.

Like every year, this summer many AUBGers participated in the Work and Travel Program (WAT) offered by several agencies in Blagoevgrad. But no matter where in America they ended up, this summer students had to adapt to the new economic environment caused by the dwindling job market.

AUBG and South-West University (SWU) organized a joint picnic in Bachinovo Park on April 11. The event, which started with a soccer match and continued with group games for students, took place after two months of meetings, discussions and preparations.

Krise, Parmakova, and Kehayov to act as temporary counselors

The Counseling Center (CC) closed two weeks ago following the resignation of Desislava Ivanova, the new Psychologist Coordinator who joined the AUBG staff for just a week. Ivanova, who holds a MA in Psychology, started working for the CC on February 12. She was supposed to replace Rayna Tuzlukova, who resigned at the end of the Fall 2008 semester.
