Future Business Administration (BUS) students may have to complete the first four BUS courses with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 to declare the major. The Business Administration department recommended this change on February 4 meeting. To become effective, the recommendation will have to be approved by the Faculty Assembly and then by the Board of Trustees.

The Board of Trustees (BoT) decided to make the Skaptopara 3 housing fee higher than that of the two other residence halls. The cost of housing in Skaptopara 3 for the Spring 2010 semester will be $650, according to the October 25 BoT meeting resolutions, as opposed to $500 for the other two halls.

The approximately 220 AUBGers who attended the All Student Assembly (ASA) on September 30 met the 20 percent quorum required to vote on proposals put forward by the Student Government (SG).
The SG plans to cut expenses.

According to the figures presented by the Student Government (SG), the current academic year's budget for club-related activities is $18,382. This consists of $17,382 directly available for clubs plus $1,000 allocated for SG work study positions, and excludes depreciation charges, travel abroad fund and facility transferable costs, according to the Board of Trustees approved budget for fiscal year 2010.

20 AUBGers will be running for the 12 SG seats in the September 14 elections.

Kerpedzhiev is running as a senator because he thinks he can make a significant contribution to the AUBG Senate. He believes he has the appropriate qualities to be successful in making the SG work. He considers himself enthusiastic, motivated and determined, traits that are, he said, setting him apart from other candidates.
