He said he seriously considered applying, given his similar experience in high-school as a Chair of the Student Parliament, and the support of several friends, but only decided to do so at the last moment.

Around 30 students from AUBG, Sofia University and University of Tirana, Albania, took part between March 19 and 22 in the Model United Nations, BLIMUN 2009, organized in Blagoevgrad by the AUBG Model United Nations (MUN) Club. BLIMUN 2009 is the first UN simulation organized at AUBG.

Around 40 students and faculty gathered in the Red Room to listen to Milanov, who is a social activist and the founder of the New Age Citizen Foundation in Bulgaria.

No current or former AUBG student has yet applied for the Tchaprashikoff scholarship, an award that gives Bulgarians at AUBG the possibility to attend any of the top 20 universities in the US at graduate level, in any field, free of charge.

Krise, Parmakova, and Kehayov to act as temporary counselors

The Counseling Center (CC) closed two weeks ago following the resignation of Desislava Ivanova, the new Psychologist Coordinator who joined the AUBG staff for just a week. Ivanova, who holds a MA in Psychology, started working for the CC on February 12. She was supposed to replace Rayna Tuzlukova, who resigned at the end of the Fall 2008 semester.

Shortage affects several departments

Four weeks into the Spring semester, the AUBG bookstore is still missing some textbooks. Macroeconomics and West's Business Law are already sold out, while Nationalism and Politics: the Political Behavior of Nation States has not been delivered yet.
