Christopher Stone came from Wisconsin to Bulgaria for a semester to teach upper-level Business Administration (BUS) courses - Organizational Theory and Behavior, and International Strategic Management at AUBG.

The festival serves as a countdown to the date when the Wall actually fell - November 9 - by showing films related to the communist period every Friday in the New Academic Building (NAB) Auditorium.
Provost Ann Ferren and her husband Jonathan D. Fife donated $2,500 to the Student Travel Fund in order to create a bucket allocated specifically to seniors. The donors specified that this amount should be accessible to students presenting their senior theses research during international conferences, Vice President for Finance and Administration Alexander Alexandrov said.
